Travis Long is a staff photojournalist, videographer, picture editor and drone pilot for The News & Observer in Raleigh, NC with more than two decades experience as a professional photojournalist.

Long’s photographs and documentary video work have garnered dozens of state, national and international awards including recognition from the Annie E. Casey Foundation, Society for News Design, National Press Photographers Association, Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar, the Southern Short Course, the Webbies and several state press associations.

His photography and videos have been published and broadcast in numerous magazines, newspapers, books, television documentaries and news segments including The Washington Post, The New York Times, USA TODAY, Newsweek and The Wall Street Journal, CNN Presents and CBS Nightly News.

Some of his freelance clients include Sony, Google, Biogen IDEC, and Themis.

Long lives in Raleigh, NC with his wife of 22-years, three children, and a whole mess of pets.
